Cirque Kids (Ages 7+)
The perfect place to begin your child's circus journey. “Cirque Kids” is designed specifically for youth, ages 7-17 who are looking for an intensive and exhilarating program.
Students will be introduced and continue their training in a variety of cirque techniques including both aerial & ground skills creating a well rounded “Cirque Artist”. A strong emphasis will be made on mastering the fundamentals of various technical skills as a building block for better balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. Students are encouraged to create a supportive and non competitive environment. Students are taught by Cirque Wonderland's trained circus professionals in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Class curriculum will feature a variety of skills, some may include the following: acrobatics, trapeze, fabric, hammock, partner balancing, hoop, rope, and dance.
What They’ll Learn
Youth Aerial (Hatters)
Students will learn to fly in this multi-apparatus class which includes developing acrobatic and dance skills on the Aerial Sling, Aerial Silks, Lyra, Trapeze, and Corde Lisse as well as through ground-based movement! This class is a fun way for your young adult to explore their natural creativity while also developing strength and flexibility.
We strive to foster an environment where students can build confidence and form friendships in a unique, non-competitive setting that encourages individuality. This class will explore creative expression while working together with others in team-based activities. This class is suitable for mature young adults ages 12+. Preregistration is required.
We understand that everyone progresses at different rates and have various goals. So we got rid of separating our Youth program by age and have moved to a goal based system.
Is your child a Dormouse, who is looking to have fun, learn tricks, move their body, and engage in unique sensory play or a Hatter who wants to be like P!nk or Zendaya and learn skills and sequences to build their own routine? Maybe they are someplace in between; a Hare!
Usually for our littlest youth or those who are simply looking for a lot of circus fun and games. Great for youth who are not quite ready for the structure required to progress, but still want to learn and play.
These youth are able to participate in a structured class, but are still looking for a lot of fun and games. We will play games and run obstacle courses, but also start working through a more progressive training program.
This is our final youth program before our adult programming. These youth are able to participate and focus though an entire hour of training that includes strength, flexibility, and more complex aerial tricks and wraps. This class will focus on technical and artistic development. Coach approval is required.
